     When teachers get to know their students at the beginning of the year they can effectively create curriculums that incorporate multicultural education. However, according to Banks, establishing a multicultural education curriculum is not enough to achieve multicultural education in the classroom. He further states “Multicultural education is also a reform movement designed to bring about a transformation of the school so that students from both genders and from diverse cultural, language, and ethnic groups will have an equal chance to experience school success.” (Banks & Banks, 2013)

Can’t Help But To Be A Proud Mom!

Brenda & DiamondrtI spent last week crying with my oldest daughter, Diamond, who God gave to me on Christmas Day 18 years ago. The news that she has been accepted to 2 out of 5 Universities already was a blessing indeed. We are still waiting for 3 Universities to respond.

     I was crying and she was crying as she said “Thank you Mom, I appreciate all that you have taught me. I couldn’t have done it without you!” My response “I am happy for you. Wow, my work in you has paid off.”

     Parents don’t stop praying, mentoring and being patient with your children, especially when they become teenagers. There does come a point when they finally mature and apply the lessons you taught them persistently.  (Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6)
