Seasoned Believers Expose Sin And Enlighten About Its Effects
When new converts begin living a victorious Christian life, sometimes they are unaware of the struggles of their sin nature. Some Christians have become sick as a result of sin. According to James 5:14-16 it says “Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. Did You Know That God Gives Us Direction When We Pray?
God will give us answers to questions if we ask.
The Holy Spirit guides and leads us if we are walking after the spirit and not the flesh. God’s direction is in the Holy Bible. He gives direction to us through other people and through circumstances whether good or bad.
It is important to pray without ceasing. (1Thessalonians 5:17) We should pray to God when we are unsure about which direction to go or what step to take. We should also pray according to His word and expect an answer. We have this promise according to 1 John 5:14-16, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Therefore, we must question ourselves whether we really want God’s will manifested in our lives. We cannot pray for anything that we know is contrary to HIS WILL because He will have a deaf ear to it. There are times when we may not know if we are praying contrary to the will of God for our lives. God has also made a provision for us even in our ignorance. According to Romans 8:26-27, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD.”
