New converts are ultimately responsible for their own spiritual growth. Studying the Bible, developing a personal relationship with God, fellowshipping with other believers, being lead by the Holy Spirit, obedience to God’s word, repentance, and growing in grace are all included in your experience with God. When Paul wrote the believers in Philadelphia, he admonished them to work out their salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12) New converts should also find a church home where the unadulterated word of God is being preached. God will also send Seasoned Believers who are worthy mentors to hold new converts accountable.

     Living a Victorious Christian Life is not an easy journey. There will be challenges, victories and defeats. It is up to babes in Christ to seek out the truth in the Holy Bible. Gaining Biblical knowledge gives Christians the light they need along their journey. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105) Prayer is also an essential part of the Victorious Christian Life. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are to pray without ceasing. God also wants us to seek him first before we make our decisions. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

     Adrian Simmons is the pastor of Way of Grace Bible Church in Rancho Cordova, CA.  He has been a bible teacher for over 11 years.  In the past he taught Theology at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, SAC County Jail Ministry, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.  Simmons has also preached at Folsom Prison which is a men’s facility and New Folsom Prison Women’s facility.  Pastor Simmons lives in Sacramento, CA with a BA degree from CSU Sacramento in Philosophy.  He is married to Amber Simmons with 4 wonderful boys.

Do You Immediately Repent And Ask God To Forgive You When You Sin?

Do you take ownership for your sins and mistakes?

When we take ownership of our sins it challenges us to evaluate our lives, our relationship with God and others. When we recognize we have sinned we need to be honest about the seriousness of our transgressions. We also need to correct the situation whenever possible. Turning away from the sins we have committed keeps us from further judgment. It also will save our very souls. Being honest about our sins and failures will help us to become more like Christ. This also helps us to work on our relationship with God.

     In our relationship with God we need to make sure we are in constant fellowship with Him. We should not have any other gods before Him because He is a jealous God. (Exodus 20:3-5) We need to make sure we are studying and doing what is in His word. If we are doing anything in our personal or business lives that is wrong, we need to get it right before God has to address it.

     Our relationships with others also need evaluation because God made every man in His image. God cares about the next person as much as He cares about us individually. We need to make sure that if we have sinned against someone or offended them that we get it right with them and God.
