Seasoned Believers Point You To The Word Of God For Truth
Seasoned Believers point us to the word of God and give us the unadulterated truth. They serve as mentors and give advice based on the Bible. Seasoned Believers will always point you back to the word of God so you can know the Bible for yourself. Knowing the Bible will help prevent you from being mislead or brainwashed by someone else. Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free according to John 8:32.
John 17:17 says “Thy word is truth.” Many young believers or babes in Christ rely on someone to lead them into all truth. They reverence another man’s word instead of the word of God. It is important to study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
In Acts 17:11 the people of Berea were excited about receiving the word of God from Paul and Silas. They received the word with readiness of mind and they searched the scriptures daily to see if the things they were told were true.

Seasoned Believers Testify “You Must Be Born Again.”
Seasoned Believers are always ready to share the “Good News” about the Gospel with others. The “Good News” according to John 3:16 in the Bible is “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” In the book of John 3:17, it also goes on to say “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
All Christian Believers are responsible for spreading the “Good News” of the Gospel. It was the commission given to the disciples in Mark 16: 15-19. Jesus gave his disciples this commandment when he appeared to them after he had risen from the dead. He wanted to encourage the disciples because they did not believe those who had seen him after he rose from the dead.

Finding A Worthy Mentor Is Serious Business!
You need someone who has your best interest. You also need someone you can trust. When new converts repent and turn away from a life of sin, accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and decide to live according to God’s word, they will need mentoring, prayer and support on their new journey.
It is important for new Christians to become a part of a local church where they can serve, learn about God’s word and grow to spiritual maturity. New Christians should have a network of Seasoned Believers who support, mentor and pray for them.
Studying the word of God is an ongoing responsibility for all Christians. According to 2 Timothy 2:15 the Bible says “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. In order for us to develop into spiritual maturity we must continue to read and study God’s word. We must know the Bible so we can apply it to our lives.

A Truthful Evaluation of Yourself Gives Feedback for Growth and Success
Did you know you were fearfully and wonderfully made by God? (Psalm 139:14) You were created in His image. (Genesis 1:26) You are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13) Knowing these truths gives you an absolute standard for your life. They are encouragement to your soul.
When you know the truth about God and your existence, confusion is not an option. Be firm, truthful and sure about who you are and what you stand for. Don’t let the opinions and prejudices of others tell your story. You are unique, valuable and have a lot to offer. When you know the truth about yourself no one can easily offend or discourage you.
A truthful evaluation of yourself is when you can admit your strengths and weaknesses. No one has to tell you where you are lacking. You know where you need to improve and where you excel. When you continue to truthfully evaluate yourself, you continue to grow and mature. When you mature in your weak areas, you begin to succeed where you previously failed.

Selfishness Stops the Flow of Blessings
Did you know that selfishness stops the flow of blessing to you and others? Selfishness according to The Random House College Dictionary means devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned only with one’s own interests. Imagine if we lived in a world where everyone practiced selfishness. Imagine if no one cared for another human being and people only looked out for themselves. The Planet Earth would truly be a cold place to live.
Unselfishness allows God to work through people. God is able to answer someone’s prayer because of the obedience of another. When you are selfish it stops the flow of blessings to you and others. It stops the blessing to others because God is unable to meet someone’s need through you. Your selfishness also keeps you from sowing a seed into someone’s life which prevents you from a blessing.
Sowing and reaping is a natural and spiritual law. Farmers use the sowing and reaping principle when they sow seed into the ground and reap a harvest. If the farmer does not plant seed, he cannot expect to get a harvest. It is just that simple. The sowing and reaping principle works the same way in the spiritual.
According to the Bible in Galatians 6:7, it says “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Natural and spiritual laws automatically come to pass whether we want them to or not. When sowing either in the natural or spiritual, make sure what you sow will produce a harvest you want to reap.

Get Your Dreams and Goals Moving!
“What are you waiting on?” Again, I say “What are you waiting on?” The earth realm is waiting for you to release the talents and abilities God gave you. At the moment of your conception, God gave you talents and abilities to one day share with the human race.
Faith without works is dead according to the Bible in James chapter 2 verse 20. In James chapter 2 verse 17 it states: Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone. In these examples, it is clear your faith and works are necessary to make things happen.
In Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1, the Bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In the Random House College Dictionary, faith is the confidence or trust in a person or thing or the occurrence of a future event. Your motivation to get moving is your faith or belief that your dreams and goals can and will happen.

Can You Pass The DELAY TEST?
Do You Trust God? Do You Need Patience?
During the times we are delayed through trials and tribulations, our own disobedience, or a trap from Satan, we should humble ourselves. According to 1 Peter 5:6-7, we are to humble ourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt us in due time. Casting all our cares upon him; for he careth for us. Whatever the purpose God has for the trial, we should ask Him to help and instruct us through it. We should also seek an understanding from God for the trial according to Proverbs 3:5-6. We must trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding. In all our ways we should acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths. When we seek God’s understanding for the trial we will learn the lesson in it.
Many times people become frustrated when they are delayed. They get angry when they can’t make progress in their lives. They feel God’s principles are too hard so they create their own method to achieve their goals. Many create their own way even if it is wrong, illegal, and ungodly. They also create methods without boundaries and constraints. Anything goes when the absolute standard has been forsaken. Instead of seeking God for help to obey His principles they become upset and frustrated with God. God’s principles require discipline and obedience. Many times people are unwilling to give what it takes to be disciplined or obedient. The more we become disciplined in a specific area of our lives the easier it will become to be obedient in that same area.

Did You Know That God Gives Us Direction When We Pray?
God will give us answers to questions if we ask.
The Holy Spirit guides and leads us if we are walking after the spirit and not the flesh. God’s direction is in the Holy Bible. He gives direction to us through other people and through circumstances whether good or bad.
It is important to pray without ceasing. (1Thessalonians 5:17) We should pray to God when we are unsure about which direction to go or what step to take. We should also pray according to His word and expect an answer. We have this promise according to 1 John 5:14-16, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Therefore, we must question ourselves whether we really want God’s will manifested in our lives. We cannot pray for anything that we know is contrary to HIS WILL because He will have a deaf ear to it. There are times when we may not know if we are praying contrary to the will of God for our lives. God has also made a provision for us even in our ignorance. According to Romans 8:26-27, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD.”
